A couple of weeks ago I filled out a quiz for a ‘lifestyle’ product from P&G. Back then, I was clueless what it was for. Days passed and soon I received the elegantly packed product at my doorstep.
It was the all New Ultra Whisper, the No. 1 sanitary napkin brand in India.
I was lucky to be a part of a select few bloggers who were invited for the exclusive preview of this magical product.
Why magical? Know all about the product soon!The ‘Whisper Out Loud Blogger Hangout’ was scheduled on a sunny Saturday and all pretty bloggers decked up in hues of greens at St. Regis, Mumbai.
An awkward topic agreed, but when you have a host like standup comedian Aditi Mittal in the house, comfort elevates to an altogether another level. Her slapstick comedy peppered with hints of sarcasms and dashes of euphemism, sharp and bold views on matters we can barely discuss publicly made the event a cakewalk.
Not to forget her chemistry with the extremely versatile actress, known to speak her mind, Ms. Kalki Koechlin . The two shared a warm camaraderie and kept the essence of the event alive with their audacious views and one liners.
A common belief is that women should not touch the pickle while they are on their periods. Snapping it off Aditi exclaimed, “Does the pickle know I’m having periods? Wow so now I have magical powers!”
The event was animated all through the noon with the screening of a few engaging videos, thought provoking statistics, busting aplenty myths etc.
One of the most important sessions was the session by Gynecologist, Dr. Nandita Palshetkar who wiped out several irrelevant menstrual taboos and hygiene.
R&D expert Chetan Kotyalkar demonstrated how the new Ultra Whisper sanitary napkin, with 1000 suction holes offers up to 5 times more protection than any ordinary pad.
The preview culminated with the challenging #OwnThose5Days wherein we had to pen down that one thing we would like to promise ourselves, about not blindly following during our menses.
Evident as it is, the event was packed with much needed brain storming lessons and bringing the ‘unstoppable’ soul in us, alive.
